For my clients projects I typically follow these 6 steps.
1. Discovery
In the discovery phase, I work closely with the client to understand their brand’s identity, target audience, and goals. This includes research on the industry, competition & trends to create a clear picture of the client’s needs.
2. Strategy
Once I have a solid understanding of the client’s brand & objectives, I develop a strategy that outlines the visual direction and tone. This includes mood boards, style guides, & design principles that will be applied throughout the project.
3. Concept Development
In this phase, I brainstorm and develop initial design concepts based on the strategy developed in the previous phase. This can include sketches & digital designs to provide the client with a range of ideas to choose from.
4. Design
In the design phase, I bring the strategy to life by creating sketches, prototypes, and final designs. This is where I incorporate the visual elements of the brand, such as colors, typography, and imagery, to create a cohesive & memorable design.
5. Review
After the initial design is complete, I present it to the client for review & feedback. This is an important stage where we collaborate to refine the design and ensure that it aligns with the client’s expectations & goals.
6. Production
Once the design is approved, I oversee the production phase to ensure that the final product is of high quality and meets the client’s specifications. This can include printing, digital production, & other finishing touches.
